Wilhelmina Ligthart
Wilhelmina brings with her over 35 years of international trade experience and currently works closely with exporters throughout Regional Victoria.
She also advises the Central Victorian Exporters Network and holds seminars to inform exporters about all the various aspects of exporting, from the importance of correct Export Documentation, through understanding Incoterms to export logistics.
Wilhelminaâs background is in international trade in various capacities as an importer, exporter and freight forwarder. She recently completed a 6 year contract managing the logistics of Qantas 737 fleet engines.
She has successfully owned and operated a company called Lobster Air, which was the first dedicated Australian freight forwarder of live seafood. The/company was sold in 1997 to Owens Refrigerated Freight and subsequently entered the market as a live seafood packer and exporter until 2001.
Wilhelmina continues to be an exporter and an international trade consultant. Her consultancy business offers specialised freight forwarding/services, advice in setting up standard operating procedures for import and export, and assistance in researching clients' documentary and logistical requirements.
Understanding the complexities of the export documentation process and unable>to find a suitable alternative software designed specifically for exporters, Wilhelmina designed ITDocs to be a straightforward, user-friendly export documentation system.
"Documentation is a vital part of sales, and especially export sales; the documents are not only the instrument for getting paid but also the instrument by which the buyer is able to access their goods. All countries have import regulations and the incoming consignments must pass through the local customs authorities as well as any governing industry bodies. To get through this process importing countries rely on the documents provided by the exporting country to verify compliance with local regulations." - Willy Ligthart

She has worked in Adaptive Technology, making, marketing, exporting and supporting technology for blind people all over the world. As a niche-market business, this meant Patricia has always had a global focus and concentrated on all the facets of being a successful exporter. Her current area of interest is export development and marketing for small and regional business, and she offers her considerable expertise in training, setting up software and systems and transferring skills to your staff.
"Export can be the most fulfilling and rewarding activity, not to mention profitable - so long as you have all the information you need. It's my pleasure to help Australian businesses acquire the best skills possible to make the export process simple and straightforward." - Patricia Fraser.
